Nubiya is a Poet/ Vocalist / Singer / Writer / Performer / Model / Screenwriter / Director.

 

This London polymath has talent as big and beautiful as her hair. Starting as a backing singer for New York Dolls album ‘Dancing Backward in High Heels’ and metamorphosising into her own lead projects, touring across Europe.

 

3 x BBC listed as lead singer of Dub/Trip Hop ensemble The Hempolics and prior co-founder and Lead singer & collaborative writer of the Nubiyan Twist.

 

Her debut National Theatre performance and composition ‘All Kinds of Limbo’ was showcased at the Sundance Film Festival 2020, Bergen International Film Festival 2020, London Film Festival 2021 and Tate Modern 2021.
